Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre Open Day - 31st Jan 2026

Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre are inviting the community to a special celebration event on Saturday 31st of January 2026, showcasing its recently refurbished expanded gym space following a significant investment in its facilities. The event will run from 8:15am to 1:00pm and offers free sessions, activities, and tours across the venue.
The celebration is designed to provide an engaging and enjoyable experience for all ages and abilities, while highlighting the full range of facilities available at Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre. Members will have the opportunity to try enhanced group fitness classes, and visitors and anyone enquiring about becoming a member can meet the gym and activities teams, and explore the refurbished spaces.
Event Highlights Include:
• Meet Group Fitness Instructors: Classes for members and pay-as-you-go customers including Bootcamp, BODYPUMP, Yoga, Pilates, RPM, and Velo Connect across three studios.
• Gym Floor Activation: Continuous gym challenges, InBody scans, a live DJ, and facility tours to showcase the refurbished state-of-the-art gym. Please note, access to our gym is from the age of fourteen.
• Dryside Activities: Taster sessions for Tot and Mini Kickers and Pickleball on the outdoor tennis courts.
• Member Engagement: Gym and sales teams will be on hand to assist, answer questions, and provide membership information.
• Free Samples: Lucozade will provide complimentary drinks to those attending, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
